ภายใต้ความรับผิดชอบของนายจ้าง ใช้กับการตรวจสอบผลิตภัณฑ์เหล็ก เช่น
ท่อไร้ตะเข็บและท่อเชื่อม ผลิตภัณฑ์แผ่น ผลิตภัณฑ์ทรงยาว ราง เหล็กแท่ง
เหล็กรูปพรรณ ลวด และผลิตภัณฑ์ที่เกี่ยวข้อง, มาตรฐาน
ISO 11484:1994 ในเอกสารเดิมถูกถอนแล้ว
และไม่ควรนำมาใช้อ้างอิงแทนฉบับปัจจุบัน
เอกสารนี้กำหนด qualification system ของ employer สำหรับ personnel ด้าน non-destructive testing (NDT) ที่ปฏิบัติงานทดสอบ steel products ต่อไปนี้ ภายใต้ความรับผิดชอบของ employer
a) tubes/pipes ทั้งชนิด seamless หรือ welded
b) flat products, long products, rails, bars, sections, rods และ wires
เอกสารนี้กำหนด qualification requirements สำหรับ competence ของ NDT personnel ระดับ Level 1 และ Level 2 เพื่อปฏิบัติงานเฉพาะด้าน NDT ของ steel products โดย qualification ออกให้โดย employer สำหรับ steel product เฉพาะและ test method เฉพาะ
เอกสารนี้ใช้กับ NDT personnel ที่ปฏิบัติงาน automated testing ของ steel products เป็นหลัก โดยใช้ NDT methods อย่างใดอย่างหนึ่งต่อไปนี้
a) eddy current testing (ET)
b) leak testing (LT)
c) liquid penetrant testing (PT)
d) magnetic testing (MT)
e) radiographic testing (RT)
f) ultrasonic testing (UT)
g) visual testing (VT)
