ISO 9712:2021 - Non-destructive testing - Qualification and certification of NDT personnel. 

เป็นมาตรฐานสากลหลักสำหรับการกำหนดคุณสมบัติและการรับรองบุคลากรที่ปฏิบัติงาน NDT ในภาคอุตสาหกรรม โดยครอบคลุมการรับรองบุคลากรระดับ 1 ระดับ 2 และระดับ 3 รวมถึงวิธีการทดสอบหลายประเภท เช่น ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic testing, penetrant testing, eddy current testing, visual testing, leak testing และ thermographic testing, มาตรฐาน ISO 9712:1999 และ ISO 9712:2012 ที่ปรากฏในเอกสารเดิมถูกยกเลิกแล้ว และควรปรับเป็น ISO 9712:2021 ซึ่งเป็นฉบับที่ใช้งานในปัจจุบัน

เอกสารนี้กำหนด requirements สำหรับ qualification และ certification ของ personnel ที่ปฏิบัติงาน industrial non-destructive testing (NDT) ใน methods ต่อไปนี้

a) acoustic emission testing;
b) eddy current testing;
c) leak testing ยกเว้น hydraulic pressure tests;
d) magnetic testing;
e) penetrant testing;
f) radiographic testing;
g) strain gauge testing;
h) thermographic testing;
i) ultrasonic testing;
j) visual testing ยกเว้น direct unaided visual tests และ visual tests ที่ดำเนินการระหว่างการประยุกต์ใช้ NDT method อื่น

ระบบที่กำหนดไว้ในเอกสารนี้ยังสามารถใช้กับ NDT methods อื่น หรือ NDT techniques ภายใน NDT method ที่จัดตั้งไว้แล้วได้ โดยมีเงื่อนไขว่าต้องมี comprehensive scheme of certification และ NDT method หรือ NDT technique นั้นครอบคลุมอยู่ใน international, regional หรือ national standards หรือ NDT method หรือ NDT technique นั้นได้รับการแสดงให้เห็นว่ามี effectiveness เป็นที่พอใจของ certification body

คำว่า “industrial” หมายถึงการยกเว้น applications ในสาขา medicine

CEN/TR 14748 ให้ guidance เกี่ยวกับ methodology สำหรับ qualification ของ non-destructive tests

เอกสารนี้กำหนด requirements สำหรับ schemes ที่โดยแท้จริงเป็น third party conformity assessment requirements เหล่านี้ไม่ได้ใช้โดยตรงกับ conformity assessment โดย second party หรือ first party แต่สามารถอ้างอิงส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องของเอกสารนี้ใน arrangements ดังกล่าวได้

คำว่า “direct unaided visual testing” หมายถึงกรณีที่มี optical path ต่อเนื่องโดยไม่มีสิ่งกีดขวางจากตาของ observer ไปยัง test area และ observer ไม่ใช้ tools หรือ devices เช่น mirror, endoscope หรือ fibre optic

การคำนวณ strain ที่อ้างอิงจาก NDT methods อื่น ไม่รวมอยู่ในขอบเขตนี้
